Own the map.
And the AI Overview.

Local SEO for US service-area businesses that want to rank in the Google Map Pack and get cited inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews when local intent searches happen. Real screenshots from real US clients below, not stock dashboards.

Why teams hire us for local

Three things most local SEO agencies miss.

01

Coverage, not centroid

Ranking #1 at your shop address is easy. Ranking top-3 across the entire service area is the job. We track every client on a Local Falcon grid so you can see actual coverage, not a single pin.

02

Local AEO baked in

Map Pack is half the battle in 2026. The other half: getting cited inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews when someone asks "best X near me". We build for both, not just the Map Pack.

03

Calls + leads, not rankings

Rankings are a leading indicator. Calls, form fills, and direction requests are the actual product. We report on GBP call volume, CallRail (when used), and GA4 conversions, not just position.

What's in the retainer

Five tracks, one team, one monthly invoice.

Google Business Profile (GBP)

Full audit, primary + secondary categories optimized for your service intent, services list completed, products where relevant, attributes verified, Q&A seeded with the actual questions your customers ask. GBP posts twice weekly, photo + video uploads monthly, review responses within 24-48 hours. Suspension reinstatement support if you've been hit.

Local landing pages

One per service-area + service combination, hand-written (not AI-spun), with LocalBusiness schema, NAP consistency, embedded GBP map, locally-relevant case studies + testimonials, and AEO-friendly structure for AI engines to extract. Internal linking strategy that doesn't cannibalize your main site.

Citations + NAP cleanup

Audit of your current citation footprint, cleanup of duplicates + suspensions + outdated addresses, NAP consistency enforcement across the top 25-50 citations for your vertical (Foursquare, Data Axle, Yelp, plus vertical-specific like Avvo for legal / Healthgrades for medical / Houzz for home services). Maintained monthly, not "submitted once and forgotten".

Review velocity + management

Review-request automation triggered by your ops events (job completion, invoice send, appointment close), Google-compliant templated asks via SMS + email, monitoring across Google + BBB + vertical platforms, response cadence (negative reviews within 24 hours), and quarterly strategy review. We don't generate fake reviews. Ever.

Local AEO (AI search citations)

included

Entity-clean schema (LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage) that AI engines can extract, content templates designed for citation inside ChatGPT / Perplexity / Gemini / Google AI Overviews, and monthly tracking of which AI engines cite you for your priority local queries vs your competitors. This is the part most local SEO agencies haven't figured out yet. See standalone AEO services if SEO is covered elsewhere.

FAQ

Common questions about local SEO.

What is local SEO and who needs it?

Local SEO is the set of practices that get your business found in geographically-qualified searches, queries like 'wheelchair ramp installer near me', 'personal injury lawyer Colorado Springs', or 'auto body repair Plano TX'. It's essential for any business that sells to a defined service area: home services, healthcare, legal, automotive, restaurants, mobility, real estate, accountants, dentists. It's not the right lever for SaaS, e-commerce shipping nationally, or content sites. If you'd describe your customers by zip code, ZIP cluster, or driving distance, you need local SEO.

What's included in a local SEO retainer?

Five tracks running in parallel: (1) Google Business Profile, full audit, category optimization, services list, products, attributes, Q&A, GBP posts twice weekly, photo/video uploads, review responses. (2) Local landing pages, one per service-area + service combination, schema-marked, locally-relevant copy, NAP-consistent. (3) Citations + NAP cleanup, consistent name/address/phone across the top 50 directories for your vertical. (4) Review velocity, review-request automation tuned to your ops, plus monitoring + response on Google, BBB, industry-specific platforms. (5) Local AEO, getting cited inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews for your geo-qualified queries. Plus monthly Local Falcon grid tracking to prove the work.

How long until I see local SEO results?

Timing depends on the starting profile, competition, website and agreed work. We record the baseline, review completed actions and track search visibility and enquiry data where access is available. We do not guarantee a rank or a lead total by a fixed date.

Do you do Map Pack ranking work, or just GBP optimization?

We can review the business profile, local pages and visibility across an agreed search grid. The archived automotive example shows an average rank of 1.4 for one query in September 2024, with 46 high-ranking points and 3 mid-ranking points. It is a historical snapshot. See our report example for context.

How does local AEO work? Can you really get cited in ChatGPT and AI Overviews?

AI-search visibility work can include clear service information, useful answer sections, consistent business details and checks for mentions on agreed queries. Mentions vary by query and date, so we record those conditions. Inclusion is not guaranteed.

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Archived report examples include legal, home services, construction and automotive work. We assess each account against its business model, service area and requirements. The examples show the selected periods and source limitations.

How do you handle multi-location businesses?

Standard playbook: one GBP per real, verifiable physical location, one local landing page per location-service combination, location-specific schema (with consistent legal entity), and a cluster strategy that prevents the locations from cannibalizing each other in search. We've run this for chains with 3 to 20+ locations. Don't try to fake a presence in a city you don't physically serve, Google's been catching that for years and the suspension risk isn't worth the short-term gain.

What about citation building and NAP cleanup, is that still worth it in 2026?

Yes, but only the right citations. The 'submit to 500 directories' playbook has been dead for years. What still moves the needle in 2026: (1) the top 25-50 citations for your specific vertical (data aggregators like Foursquare/Neustar/Data Axle, plus vertical-specific ones, Avvo for legal, Healthgrades for medical, Houzz for home services, etc.); (2) NAP consistency across all of them; (3) cleanup of duplicates, suspensions, and outdated addresses. Then maintenance, not bulk submission. We do this in-house or via white-label partners we trust.

Do you handle review generation?

We set up the system; your team executes the asks. Specifically: review-request automation triggered by your ops events (job completion, invoice send, appointment close), templated SMS + email asks that comply with Google's terms, monitoring + response cadence (we respond to negative reviews within 24 hours, positive within 48), and quarterly review-strategy review. We don't generate fake reviews. Ever. Reviews are the highest-ROI local-SEO lever, and the highest legal risk if done wrong.

Are you a US agency, or based overseas?

MaxGrowth is based in India (Gurgaon) and serves clients globally, with a primary focus on US service-area businesses. Most of our case-study work is in the United States, New Jersey, Colorado, Texas, the Carolinas, Austin, plus Canadian and UK accounts. Our team works on US business hours for client communication. If having a US-based agency is a hard requirement for you, we're not the right fit. If you care about outcomes and don't mind a globally-distributed team, hundreds of US service-area businesses currently work this way.

How is pricing structured?

Month-to-month retainers, no annual contracts, scoped to your geography and vertical density. A single-location personal injury firm in a competitive metro will be priced differently from a 5-location HVAC company in a tier-2 market.
